We need your help

I have been searching the web for quite some time, looking for real quality free offers. For every good item I find, I sometimes have to go through dozens of bogus, misleading, or totally false offers. Once my squint becomes painful and my vision starts to blur I pack it in for another day. The more good quality free contents the better. If you have a free product or service that you offer then this is the place for you. We don’t care why, only that it is of use to our subscribers. I think everyone is aware that most of what you find for free is being offered to entice you to buy something. There is nothing wrong with that. We don’t mind if that is your motivation and we will still gladly post your free offer on our site, for free.

If you have something to promote or even if you found something while surfing the net and you found it so useful that you want to spread the word, then please drop us a line. Send an email to advertising@myworldforfree.com and give us the details of the offer, a link to check out the offer, and your return email address, and we will try to get back to you within 48 hours. As long as the offer meets our guidelines and is useful to our members, we will post it for free.

We have exciting new paid advertising opportunities which will be available soon. Pay per click banners, blog advertising and direct mail out marketing packages will start with the full launch this summer. Contact us for rates at sales@myworldforfree.com . The next feature that will be launching soon is the all free e-book library. We are looking for additions to our library so anyone who wants to post an e-book is welcome. The content would have to be approved by the staff at MWFF. Links within the book to your own sites or affiliate partners is perfectly fine with us, as long as those sites meet our guidelines (as mentioned earlier). Please include information pertaining to the author and any copyrights with your e-book submissions. Our goal is to create a huge library of useful information, indexed by category, which can be accessed by our members for free.

Coming soon: My World For Free contests.

We are working with our sponsors to acquire valuable merchandise to give away free in contests, including free shipping to anywhere in Canada and the United States. Participation in a customer survey is required. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by signing up. Your personal information will not be sold or distributed to anyone. The sponsor will retain the right to contact you with their own offers, and will honor your unsubscribe request if you are not interested. The odds of winning a prize are based solely on the number of participants.

If you have any comments or suggestions, please submit them to us at the bottom of this page. We love hearing from our readers and your suggestions help us improve our service to you. Our goal is to become the number one source for free offers and services on the net. We can achieve this with your help and contributions and everyone will benefit.

Things I wish were free

There are so many things that should be free but I will focus on 1 for now.

Health care

In Canada we have full health care coverage available to any and all citizens. This is one of the reasons our taxation levels are so high. Unfortunately our quality of care has been declining in recent years. Don’t get me wrong; our care is still among the best in the world, but services are slow, and under funding is limiting the availability of doctors and equipment. Our population is aging and this places an additional strain on the system. Our American friends to the south have some of the best health care and services available in the world. For those who cannot afford insurance and aren’t covered through their employer, this care is far too expensive. They say you can’t put a price on health. When you are not insured, there is a hefty price.

There are many suggestions on how to pay for universal care. Perhaps a portion of the more than a trillion dollars spent on defense would cover some of the tab. Channeling the hundreds of  billions of dollars in profits made by oil companies into renewable resources, electric automobiles, wind and solar power would lessen America’s dependence on foreign oil. With no need to protect oil reserves in the Middle East there would be little need for the huge military presence. The daily influx of injured, maimed and traumatized soldiers has placed a considerable burden on health care which is being covered by the federal government.

In our “advanced” society we should be able to live free of the worry that terrible diseases like cancer will not only rob us of our loved ones, but also destroy us financially. Everyone I know has been touched by this disease in some way. We need to make health care free. We need to make our representatives in government treat this as a priority or we will vote them out in the next election. It starts at the bottom with the “little people” like you and me.

“Free Quotes”

“The way of the superior person is threefold; virtuous, they are free from anxieties; wise they are free from perplexities; and bold they are free from fear.”

Confucius

“Hanging onto resentment is letting someone you despise live rent-free in your head.”

Ann Landers

“Every man is free to rise as far as he’s able or willing, but the degree to which he thinks determines the degree to which he’ll rise.”

Ayn Rand

“Give a man a free hand and he’ll run it all over you.”

Free information on starting an online business

Get rich quick

The get rich quick scheme is as old as the hills. The lure of easy cash is hard to resist at the best of times and the last 2 years has seen a serious financial turn for the worse for many people. Unfortunately desperation is good for business. There is more dishonesty and greedy opportunistic parasites in this “category” than anywhere else.

Why the venom you might ask? I find it despicable when someone takes advantage of another person’s hope, especially when they have so little hope left. I am certainly not immune to the lure of information which can lead to profits online. I was careful, thoughtful and very thorough before I purchased my first get rich quick package. I was actually hooked by a very clever marketing tactic. Even now that I know I was “fooled” I still admire the method that hooked me for it’s simplicity and (dishonest) honesty. I was leery of being scammed and saw a sight that was not selling anything. They were offering information on how to spot the scams and narrow down your search to  a few good reliable sites. They sent me emails that described how the sales funnel worked, how professional sales copy could be separated from true stories, how to see through false or exaggerated testimonials. They  endorsed a few packages, which I later found were all affiliated. It was one of those packages that I purchased and now I know that the free information that they were not selling, was a clever pitch by an affiliate marketer who earned a commission when I bought. Ahhh…the innocence lost.

I was cautiously optimistic and went in with the knowledge that it would take a lot of learning and hard work to start a profitable business, whether online or otherwise. Even with that mindset it was hard not to dream about the results that had been promised. An autopilot business with ad word campaigns sending hundreds of targeted buyers to my sales page, causing my bank account to climb by hundreds, even thousands per day. Even after I discovered the truth and saw how difficult it is to build a profitable online business they still were able to tempt me. I started getting calls asking if I wanted to make the kind of money they promised. They offered to help me but they were asking a lot of questions about my financial situation. They said that they wanted testimonials from success stories, and they would help me reach my financial goals, being mortgage and debt free, with a secure retirement and financial independence. They were looking to see how deep my pockets were, what kind of available credit I had.

Eventually we got the point where they mentioned what it would cost. What they were selling was coaching to help me use “their method” to make a lot of money online. It was going to cost me at least $900, and as much as $2000 to really do well. But that is a small investment when you consider that soon I could be making more than that every day! Believe it or not, part of me was still tempted, and I consider myself a skeptic. When I expressed reluctance, partly due to my financial situation at the time, they backed off and said they would get back to me soon. I never heard from them again. I am glad that things worked out the way they did. I took what I learned from the package I purchased, and applied it in other ways. I did receive good value from the package I purchased. I learned a lot, and learned it  for less than $40, and dodged a virtual bullet. I am wiser for my experience.

The importance of planning

When this site was in it’s infancy I started looking around for some help in putting up a website. My earlier forays online were done with a basic HTML editor through the hosting company I chose. I was able to design some very good, but very basic (looking) sites. I knew that for this venture I would need professional help to incorporate the features we would need. I needed to find a company to help me make the site, and hopefully educate me on what would be required to achieve the functionality that I had planned. I of course turned to Google. The top 10 searches were contacted and I sent them my idea, my needs and my estimated budget. To my dismay, only a few bothered to respond. I was shocked, but I chalked it up to my lack of knowledge. Perhaps my budget was too low for what I was requesting.

One company (eXante Solutions) contacted my by email the next day, and by phone a day later, inviting me for a free 1 hour consultation. I made the appointment and it turned out to be a good move on my part. I met with the proprietor Guy, and the free 1 hour consultation turned into a 2 ½ hour session where we fired around concepts, ideas and plans. It was quite an education for me. Playing devil’s advocate, Guy convinced me to reexamine some of the aspects of my plan. Although it was apparent early on that he would likely not have my initial site building business, Guy still spent the time to talk to me about the importance of planning and some aspects of testing that I hadn’t considered. Good business dictates that you should always keep your options open for future business opportunities and Guy will certainly be on the top of my list as we grow.

The aspects of my planning that Guy told me to look at were in need of change. I took his advice in other areas as well and even though I did not hire him, I feel that he has made a contribution to my success. If you need advice in the field of internet marketing, take a look at www.exante.ca . Sign up for the Internet Marketing Tips e book, and check out another excellent resource at www.googlecoach.ca . Give Guy a call if you are just starting out, or if you have an online business that isn’t performing as well as you’d like.

Don’t spend a lot of money starting a business. Spend it educating your self first. Then spend it researching and testing. You can do much of that yourself if you are able and have the time. If you are not, Guy’s company is a good example of the kind of help you need. You don’t want to discover things you didn’t know about your customers and your competition after you have spent thousands on a website.
